On June 20th, My father and I visited the Sykesville freedom fire department carnival in Sykesville,MD.
Shaw and Sons Amusements providing both units for this event, about 30 rides here
The Major rides on the lot were: Childress Fun slide, Sizzler, Round Up, Rock N Roll, Paratrooper, Hurricane, Tilt a Whirl, second generation Zipper, Gravitron, Eli bridge cable driven Hy 5 wheel, Hrubetz Fireball, and a Eyerly Rock O Plane, and a booked in beach party fun house
The kiddie rides included a Go Gator, mini train, Herschell helicopters,Dino themed Hampton, Hampton tubs of fun, Hampton motorcycles, mini rocket swing, mini boats, bulgy the whale, 4 X 4 jeep and a Pinto Fire Trucks
Unlimited ride wristband and ticket stamp was $23 good from 6:30 till 11 PM
I was there from 9 pm till 10:30, The fireworks started at around 10 pm so we figured we'd watch them
Anyways it was wall to wall crowds, almost like all of the Sykesville portion of Carroll county came out to support this event
Quite a few concession booths on the lot, and many games
There was Bingo, a pizza joint, a burger joint, lemonade, french fry stand, and others that are all for the fire dept or local lions club
The entertainment was Ritchie Fields Country band from 7 till close at 11.
I rode the Gravitron, Paratrooper, hrubetz fireball, and the Rock O plane, made the most out of the wristband with wall to wall crowds at the carnival.
